Home club game day duties

Hosting a game is a logistics job with about a dozen moving parts, most of which need a named person rather than a general assumption that someone will handle it.

Before the day

• Confirm the ground booking and access arrangements

• Fill every volunteer role by name, not by hope

• Check the first aid kit is stocked and in date

• Make sure supplies are there for the BBQ or you have organised a food truck

On the day

• Field marked, goalposts and pylons in place

• Clear ambulance access and someone who knows the ground address
